The Big Chop

A few really annoying things happen when you go through chemotherapy, and in my opinion, the hair loss is a great big annoying thing. It's not just annoying because of the fact that your hair is thinning out, but the amount of hair that gathers on the floor/in the bed/around the sink/in your food/in the car/on the couch/on other people/in the trash/in your shoes/on the dog, is so so soooo annoying and can also be kind of embarrassing. To semi-solve this issue, I asked my sister's friend Liv to chop my hair to a more appropriate length, in order to give everyone a break from my 24 inch long hairs. My sister also gave me a baptism style hair wash which I feel holds some sort of significance.... Either that or it was just a really nice head massage and I love those so much.
I wanted to be with my sister and her friends, in a quiet and private place during the chop because I didn't want to be that one girl bawling her eyes out at the hair salon, and more importantly, we could be weird and make inappropriate jokes about going bald and stuff that shouldn't be funny but definitely can be.
I'm not quite ready for the "big shave", so a shoulder length 'do will be less shocking until I need to bring out the clippers. Stay tuned for that fun post!
***And when I say fun, I mean it in the most sarcastic way possible. Nonetheless, it should be entertaining***
